CNC Turning & Mill-Turn

Neighbouring our milling department is our comprehensively equipped turning and mill-turn department. Utilising multi-axis turning, we are able to manufacture complex, turned parts from 2mm-300mm diameter and 700mm in length in a variety of materials, including plastic and high-temp alloys.

A key area of growth in this department is our mill-turn facilities, which now features four high-specification DMG Mori mill-turns. A mill-turn CNC machine combines CNC turning (part rotates) and milling (tool rotates) in one setup to produce complex, rotationally symmetric parts efficiently. Unlike a 5-axis mill, which only moves the tool around a stationary part, a mill-turn machine spins the workpiece at high speeds for turning, allowing for faster production of cylindrical parts. These have greatly increased our capacity and have attracted new business, from customers requiring turned parts, engineered to the highest level of precision.
